How to create and run projects

When using Biome-BGCMuSo Projects Database & Management System 6 you create projects. Types of projects:

  • CARBON project for a single run
  • MCE project for Monte Carlo Experiments

The BBGC Carbon executes a simulation run, which consists of a so called "spinup" and "normal" simulation phases pipelined.
The MCE executes multiple simutation runs with randomised EPC parameters in the normal phase.

For detailed description about simulation requirements see User's Guide for Biome-BGC MuSo v6 [PDF].

General information

Basic information about how to use the BBGCDB System, how to add or edit contents, and about content forms.

Project creation

1. Preparation

To create a project you need previously created contents: ini sets or other projects (in simulation project: spinup ini set, normal ini set and output set). You can use your own sets from database (shared and even unshared) or other users' shared sets. If you find none of the uploaded sets appropriate, you can create new ones.
Ini sets - like projects - are also combined from previously uploaded inputs, so to create ini sets you can select input items from database or create new ones.

2. Add project

3. Execute project
