Model versions

This is a catalogue of Biome-BGC model versions used in Biome-BGC investigations. This catalogue overview the recently developed Biome-BGCMuSo version 5 (User's Guide written by Hidy, Barcza et al. (2016) as well as the "base" model: Biome-BGC version 4.1.1 MPI described by Thornton et al. 2005, modified by Max Planck Institute (Trusilova et al., 2009). See also the official web site of Biome-BGC MuSo for further details.

Name Nid Description
Biome-BGCMuSo 5.0.1 4694

Biome-BGCMuSo 5.0.1 is an IMPLEMENTED VERSION HERE

BBGCMuSo was developed from the Biome-BGC family of models (Thornton, 2000) and in this sense it is an extension and generalization of the Forest-BGC model for the description of different vegetation types including C3 and C4 grasslands (Running and Coughlan, 1988; Running and Gower, 1991; Running and Hunt, 1993; Thornton, 1998, 2000; White et al., 2000; Thornton and Rosenbloom, 2005; Trusilova et al., 2009).

Biome-BGCMuSo 4.1 180

NOT IMPLEMENTED HERE (see: BBGCDB 3 on ECOS)

Biome-BGC is a biogeochemical model that simulates the storage and flux of water, carbon, and nitrogen between the ecosystem and the atmosphere, and within the components of the terrestrial ecosystems (Thornton, 2000). The Biome-BGC was developed by the Numerical Terradynamic Simulation Group (NTSG),...

NOT IMPLEMENTED HERE (see: BBGCDB 3 on ECOS)

Biome-BGC version 4.1.1 with developments described by Trusilova et al. (2009). A recently described 'daylight average temperature calculation bug' have been also fixed (by Zoltán Barcza).
