Before adding a new project, read General information.
The BBGC Carbon executes a simulation run, which consists of a so called "spinup" and "normal" simulation phases pipelined.
For detailed description about simulation requirements see User's Guide for Biome-BGC MuSo v6 [PDF].
To create a new project you need previously created inputs.
mandatory: spinup ini set, normal ini set, output set
optional: other files (mortality, conductance, groundwater, onday, offday)
Below general fields (name, share, description), project form contains autocomplete fields for selecting mandatory and optional elements. See General information about autocomplete fields.
It is recommended to select spinup and normal ini sets with the same site, and usually with the same meteorology, epc and soil file.
In order to enable more realistic simulation extra files can be added to the project. Since these files are not included in INI sets, you have to add them directly to the project. Unlimited number of files can be selected.
The current model version does NOT take into account the year (or day) field in the file: for the first year (day) of the simulation the first line is used (regardless of the value of the year/day field).
- Mortality, conductance, onday and offday files: spinup, transient and normal phase; annual data
the number of years in file have to be equal or longer than the number of simulation years - Groundwater file: spinup and normal phase; daily data
spinup: it must contain data exactly for 365 days (always 365 lines)
normal: you should check whether the length of the groundwater file is in accordance with the length of the normal simulation
