To create a project you need previously created spinup ini set, normal ini set and output set. You can use your own sets from database (shared and even unshared) or other users' shared sets. If you find none of the uploaded sets appropriate, you can create new ones. Ini sets - like projects - are also combined from previously uploaded inputs, so to create ini sets you can select input items from database or create new ones.
Before adding new input or output set, it is recommended to check previously uploaded data.
Ini sets
Before creating a project you need to follow the next steps:
- check if input files you want to use in your project are already uploaded to database (use Input data menu item)
- mandatory: meteorological, soil and epc input files
- optional: CO2, Ndep, management or "other" files (for mortality, conductance, groundwater, onday and offday settings) - check if site (SECTION SITE in ini set) with appropriate parameters is in the database (use Sites menu item)
- if you want to use conditional management strategies, check it in Input data menu item, Conditional management strategies tab
- if any of the above is missing, you have to add new input file, site or conditional management strategies - detailed instructions are found below how to create them.
If all of the necessary inputs are in the database, you can manage your initialisation sets which determines the simulation.
- check if spinup and normal ini sets are already in the database (it is possible in case of all of the necessary inputs were previously uploaded) - use Ini sets menu item
- if any of them is missing, you have to create new input set - detailed instructions are found below about it.
Note that "other" files are not included in ini sets, so you can use them directly in project creation.
Output sets
Output set is for OUTPUT CONTROL, DAILY and ANNUAL OUTPUT sections in ini sets. You need to
- check if the output set you want to use in your simulation is in the database (Output sets menu item)
- if it is missing, you have to create new output set - detailed instructions are found below about it.
